Lester Wunderman

Lester Wunderman - consultant, professor, author and photographer - is Chairman Emeritus and founder of Wunderman. After an apprenticeship served at several agencies, Mr. Wunderman joined Maxwell Sackheim & Company in 1947, where he became Executive Vice President. In 1958, he founded Wunderman, Ricotta & Kline - now known as Wunderman.

In 1967, in an address at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Mr. Wunderman identified, named and defined 'Direct Marketing' and for more than four decades, he has led the theoretical and practical growth of the industry. He has received many awards and tributes from the direct marketing industry, including inductions into the Direct Marketing Association's Hall of Fame in 1983, and the American Advertising Federation Hall of Fame.

His book, Being Direct, was published by Random House in January 1997. An earlier book, Frontiers of Direct Marketing, was published in 1981, and his speeches and articles have appeared in publications worldwide. His next book, to be published in 2008, is titled The Wunderman Papers, with one on the industry evolution toward personal advertising to follow. Mr. Wunderman's photographs of the Dogon people of Mali are in the permanent collection at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and have been exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago and numerous other museums.

As Chairman and CEO of Wunderman, Daniel Morel is responsible for turning this digital and relationship marketing powerhouse into a billion dollar company.

After joining the agency in 2001, Daniel reaffirmed the agency's commitment to sound, fundamental marketing principles with a spirit of innovation deep within its roots. He mapped out a strategy for growth which focused on financial services, pharmaceuticals and technology, then captured significant business from global brands including Ford, Microsoft, Citibank, Hewlett-Packard, Lufthansa, Nokia and Diageo.

Daniel's profound commitment to a creative process, powered by customer insight, is what he believes creates exponential value for Wunderman clients. As president of the prestigious Cannes Lions Direct jury in 2003, Daniel advocated a "new breed of creativity - creativity that makes us laugh, touches the heart and inspires us to act." He also served on the first ever Cannes Lions Titanium jury in 2005. Since 2002, Wunderman has won 25 prestigious Cannes Lions awards, including the coveted Grand Prix two years consecutively.

In 2005, Daniel launched an aggressive growth strategy, to expand the agency's sphere of influence in digital direct marketing. Wunderman acquired major interactive and web analytics players around the world, including; Blast Radius, DataCore Marketing, These Days, Aqua Online, ZAAZ and Fortelligent. As a result, Wunderman is recognized by Forrester Research for its expertise in data and interactive excellence.

Daniel is a member of the Executive Board of Directors of the Direct Marketing Association (DMA) and Chair of the DMAs Marketing and Communications Standing Committee.

When he is not testing and trying out the latest technology, he enjoys backcountry skiing, sailing and taking his new Harley Davidson on extended journeys.

Trish Wheaton

Trish Wheaton has an uncanny ability to make even the most complex challenges simple. She systematically breaks down the problem, takes a step back to see the bigger picture and then formulates a strategy that zeros in on the right communications solution. It's a skill that has served her well throughout her career.

Perhaps that's why in November 2007, Wunderman named her the agency's first Chief Marketing Officer, responsible for new business and brand stewardship, with the formidable challenge of finding the agency's next large multinational account. Wheaton is Wunderman's chief brand steward and is responsible for the network-wide launch of Wunderman: the Next 50 Years, an initiative born to commemorate our 50 year milestone in 2008.

In March 2007, Trish was on assignment in the UK, at first heading the Microsoft Team there. Then, in June, as COO of Wunderman in the UK, she oversaw the agency's transformation into the largest data, digital and relationship marketing agency in the UK and won two significant pieces of business - Orange and Land Rover CRM - in a fiercely competitive market. Trish continues to serve as chairperson of Wunderman Canada.

Trish speaks many languages - communications, consulting, data, digital, media, promotions and events. A multi-media and loyalty specialist, Trish headed accounts across a variety of categories including; financial services, entertainment, loyalty, teleco and retail, and has won numerous industry awards.

A well-known industry figure, Trish was a featured speaker at the World Advertising Research Center's Advertising & Consumers Conference in London, the Direct Marketing Association and the Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival. She has served as the emcee of Canada's annual RSVP awards for 11 years, held by the Canadian Marketing Association. She served as Chairman of the CMA Board of Directors, was Chair of the CMA annual convention and is a past recipient of the CMA Directors' Choice award.

Enrique Yuste

Advertising is Enrique's last name. It comes from his grandfather's blood – pioneer of Argentinean advertising - and has been printed along with his name on his University diploma, as well as on plenty of business cards.

Enrique's extensive knowledge of the business and his infectious attitude, make him one of the most effective leaders in Latin America. He is responsible for business expansion in Brazil, Chile and Mexico. He also serves as Chief Client Officer for Wunderman accounts spanning multi-channels.

Enrique knows how to build brands as well as customer relationships. He feels equally comfortable creating media plans, storyboards, strategies, database and internet work for clients.

Under his leadership, Wunderman's Latin American operation has grown and prospered, adding significant global and regional business including Diageo and Nokia.

Stephane Faggianelli

Executive Vice President, Asia

Stephane Faggianelli joined Wunderman Singapore in January 2006 as EVP for Wunderman Asia. Stephane is responsible for the management of Wunderman's global clients throughout the region.

Stephane is one of the most experienced CRM professionals in Asia and possesses extensive experience in both IT and automotive categories.

Before joining Wunderman, he headed Tequila in Japan. Prior to this, Stephane served as international client director of IBM EMEA, Renault in Europe and Nissan in Japan. But, he is no stranger to Wunderman as he started his career with Wunderman France two decades ago.

In addition to his agency experience, Stephane spent two years client-side working for Disneyland Paris. A native of French Corsica, Stephane is known for his dynamic personality.

Marcus Starke

President and CEO, Europe, Middle East & Africa

Born in Hamburg, Germany and fluent in five languages - German, English, Italian, Portuguese and French - Marcus is president and CEO of Wunderman's European, Middle Eastern and African regions. He is responsible for the day-to-day management of the agency's largest and most diverse region.

Drawn to Wunderman in January 2006, due to its strong talent base and large global clients that embrace digital revolution, such as Microsoft and Ford, Marcus strongly believes in the infinite possibilities of digital direct marketing.

Before Wunderman, Marcus was chairman and CEO of Publicis, Frankfurt, where he was responsible for the German flagship agency. With the agencies services in consultancy, brand strategy, advertising, direct marketing, CRM, sales promotion, PR, sports marketing and other areas he was working with global clients including Coca-Cola, Renault, Nestlé, and P&G.

Prior to this, Marcus was CEO of 141 Worldwide's European operation. He was founder and managing partner of a consultancy and a marketing services agency that were eventually acquired by Bates/141 Worldwide. He also served as a management consultant for a major international consultancy (formerly GTP, now Gemini Consulting). On the client-side, he served in various marketing and management roles with Cinzano International (formerly IDV, now Diageo) in Switzerland, Brazil and Italy; Star S.p,A, (Danone) in Italy and Pirelli Tyre Group, also in Italy.

Bill Manfredi

Bill Manfredi is responsible for leading a worldwide human resources capability that supports the operational and strategic needs of Wunderman. He has a strong sense of what a client needs and therefore is able to match the best people in the business, with the accounts that enable both to thrive.

Bill has amassed the sort of broad-based experience that is essential for running a global human resources operation. As Global Human Resources Vice President at Ernst & Young Consulting, he built a global resource function to support the company's US investment in worldwide member firms, created human resource global shared services and provided the infrastructure and strategic support in all new global ventures. Previously, he was Director of Human Resources at both CSC Consulting and Sprint International. During that time, he established internal recruiting processes, developed global recruitment programs, established worldwide staffing networks and developed and implemented competency models to ensure selection of world-class candidates for key positions.

Bill cut his teeth in the business with many rewarding years at IBM Corporation, where he held the positions of Director of HR Programs, Asia/Pacific Group, Tokyo; Director Division Headquarters and Marketing Brand Office Management.

Where do you go after completing the registration and sale of the leading private healthcare marketing company in the world? If you're Peter Law-Gisiko, you become the CFO of Wunderman and Young & Rubicam Brands. Peter rejoined the WPP Group of companies in October 2000, after being at the helm of Nelson Communications Inc.

At Wunderman, Peter and his financial team are actively involved in the agency's aggressive digital acquisition strategy, expanding the Wunderman network with the addition of leading interactive and analytics specialty companies, including, Blast Radius, DataCore Marketing, These Days, Aqua Online, ZAAZ and Fortelligent.

Peter originally joined the WPP Group in 1987, as Financial Controller for Asia-Pacific and Latin America and soon after was promoted to Deputy Group Finance Director and subsequently CFO of Ogilvy France and CFO OgilvyOne.
